The
Kuranda Scenic Railway is perhaps the most famous way.
Built over 100 years ago, this
amazing train takes you on a journey
through the rainforest, past beautiful
Stoney Creek and the spectacular
Barron Falls, passing through 15
hand carved tunnels, around 93 curves & over 30 or more bridges, arriving at the Kuranda Station directly
opposite the hostel.
The train departs from Cairns Railway
Station every morning.
The
Skyrail
is another popular and exciting way to travel.
The world's longest gondola cableway
begins in Caravonica Terminal
just a few kilometers north of
Cairns, and climbs over the rainforest
canopy until it reaches Kuranda
Terminal, again directly opposite the hostel.
