Travellers
staying at the hostel are invited to visit the farm and share a unique
cultural and educational experience.
For those who want to learn more about the culture and history of the Aboriginal people of Australia, it is a special opportunity to meet and interact with the people themselves.
It is
important to note that the farm is not a 'tourist attraction' and should
not be considered as such. There is no 'show' and no entrance fee.
When
you visit the farm you will be guided and shown around while being told
about its purpose and importance to the people of the community.
Feel
free to ask any questions you have about the life of the
Aboriginal community, and also tell about yourself. That is the purpose
of this visit - to increase the knowledge and understanding between people.
People
who come to visit are encouraged to participate and take part in the work
and activities at the farm.
It makes
the experience more authentic, and brings hearts closer to one another.
It's
not every day that you get a chance like this to meet the indigenous people
of Australia, and expand your knowledge about their society.
When
you get to the hostel, ask the friendly managers, Jon & Cheryl, to
help arrange your visit to the farm - its one you'll remember.
